Welcome to the 2019-2020 school year. This year our theme is “Today a Reader, Tomorrow a Leader.” I ask you to join us in motivating your student to read. Just 20-30 minutes at night can make all the difference. “Reading books aloud to children stimulates their imagination and expands their understanding of the world. It helps them develop language and listening skills and prepares them to understand the written word. Even after children learn to read by themselves, it's still important for you to read aloud together. 😊
This year Tanner will continue to be on Trimesters, with report cards coming out three times per year. Our 3rd through 5th graders will all be a part of the 1-1 Chromebook roll-out initiative this year and will all have a Chromebook of their own. There is excitement in the 5th grade as well, as we begin our second cohort of students who will embark on the AVID (Advancement via Individual Determination) program designed to enhance organization, empower academic skills and creativity, promoting a college-going culture on our campus...

Additionally, technology staff is finalizing the setup of a Chromebook technical support area in the ROP Portable located in the parking lot of the District office. Starting Monday, March 23rd, parents and students will be able to bring their Chromebooks (between 8:30 and 11:00 am Monday's, Wednesday's. Friday's) that are non-functional or having technical issues for repair or replacement.es for repair or replacement.
